Jaya Bachchan was in Jaipur when she learnt about her son's decision to marry Aishwarya. SP leader and a close friend of the Bachchans, Amar Singh, immediately flew from Bhatinda in Punjab to Lucknow. From there, he went to Jaipur to congratulate Jaya. The two then flew to Mumbai. Anil and Tina Ambani too reached the Bachchan residence "Jalsa" to attend the family celebrations.
