There
are some lanes in India, untouched by redevelopment, where the lanes are so
narrow that you can hear the conversation from across the opposite window. These
lanes are unkempt, shabby and filthy but behind these long walls, are the
private offices, luxurious and reeking of wealth, where business worth
millions of rupees is exchanged.
Why do they pay no attention to the environment when they can easily afford to keep the
helpers? Why don’t they repair the streets and replace the broken tiles?
I
fail to understand their I-don’t-care attitude.
