During my stay in Madrid, I wanted to take tourist bus to go around the city, but I chose a wrong day. All the roads were blocked because of cycling event, that was taking place in the main square. The next best thing was to walk..

and walk I did for full five hours

and was happy that I did.

100 Happy Days: Day 61 Training Children in Pre-Vocational Activity

Happiness is when the child learns the task you were trying to teach.

People ask me what can we possibly teach special children? Well, there are hundreds of things MR child can do. He may not be able to read and write but if trained from early childhood, he can be trained in various vocational skills that will help him improve his eye-hand co-ordination. The training starts from early age.

Teacher demonstrated the technique of placing bamboo sticks side by side, then asked the children to do the same. You would think that child may not have understood or not bothered to notice. But when their turn came, they were able to do the task successfully, some needed help but many were able to do it independently.

There is a sense of achievement when the child learns the task you were trying to teach him.

100 Happy Days: Day 60 Chinese Cuisine.

Happiness is cooking Chinese meal.

Chinese food tastes best when cooked instantly. Few days ago, I was attending a party and saw this kid stirring noodles in a big pan. This was most unappetizing dish I saw. Stirring makes noodles soggier, and with sauces and veggies, it loses its taste if not cooked well. I was tempted to instruct him the right way of cooking.

How?

First, it should be cooked in small quantities on high flame, secondly, it should be ready in just 3 minutes and it should be served immediately.

I would willing be ready to conduct Chinese food workshop to anyone who is willing to learn because that would make me happy…….of having shared my cooking tricks.

100 Happy Days: Day 59 At Special School.

Happiness is spending some time at the special school.

Whenever I come to the Special School at C.B.D. I am very impressed by the attitude of our students. One notable thing that one might notice is that all children have a smile on their face. They always greet everybody with a smile.

During lunchtime, if they have finished their lunch quickly, then you will see them helping their classmates finish their lunch. Some will even feed their friend with their own hands. There is positive energy everywhere.

These children are so blessed

100 Happy Days: Day 58 Food Doodle.

Happiness is doodling a recipe.

Today I made carrot pickle at home but didn’t feel like clicking a picture. I decided to doodle instead.

It was the first time that I have doodled a recipe. Many of my food bloggers are already doing that. It did take me some time. It is not easy but its fun

I am very pleased.
